Sealed end cartons are cartons that do not have tuck flaps on the ends but rather are sealed by the filler during packaging, usually with hot melt glue. Many retailers require sealed end cartons for certain products to prevent tampering or pilfering in store. Sealed ends are most often used in automatic or semi-automatic filling lines but can be hand erected and glued in small quantity. The measurements of sealed ends are taken as follows: Length – left to right on the front of the box, Width – front to back on the side of the box, Depth – top to bottom on the front of the box.
